Our homeschool group recently took a field trip of a police department in Cave Creek, Arizona. Their Community Action Officer taught our children about the services that policemen and women provide to our community and how to stay safe. He was fabulous. At one point during his presentation, he said, "As police officers, one of our favorite things is when kids wave to us! So when you see a policeman, please wave, and we'll wave back."

This, of course, reminded me of one of my favorite Citizen Actions, which we do as often as we can!!
