Groups or individuals who are against the policy or actions or laws of a government or the policy or actions of a company often create a petition requesting a change. To strengthen their request, they often try to get as many individuals as possible to sign the petition. Most of us have seen individuals outside retail stores asking customers to sign a petition. Most of us "beg off" on reading the petitions citing time constraints.

Consider taking five minutes to understand the nature of the petition and make a decision on whether you agree with it and want to sign it. It's your responsibility as a citizen to do these types of things.
